This group is for carers and family members of someone experiencing mental health or other psychosocial/physical disabilities. The group offers social and emotional support, tips and knowledge, allows the opportunity to share information and ideas, develop coping strategies and make friendships in a supportive and caring environment. South Yarra – Bipolar Carers Support Group

Mental Health Foundation, 450/J Chapel St, South Yarra

Close family and friends (bipolar carers or caregivers) can be a primary source of support for a person with bipolar disorder. They focus on discussions on how caregivers can take care of themselves, how to deal with bipolar disorder symptoms and the personal impact it has. Monthly meetings will be held on the first Monday of each month. More

Watton Carer Support Group

The Watton Carer Support Group was formed in August 2016 auspiced by Carers Victoria. Their aim is to facilitate support between carers or friends of a family member and raise awareness of carers in the community of Wyndham.

Barwon Health Carer Support

Barwon Health Carer Support is committed to supporting and maintaining the quality of life of carers and those for whom they care. Carer Support Groups at  Mental Health Services 

Action on Disability in Ethnic Communities (ADEC)

ADEC facilitates mental health support groups for people with mental health challenges, their carers and family members. ADEC is currently running seven mental health/ well-being groups across Northern and Western areas of Melbourne. These groups are language specific and are currently run in five languages (Chinese, Turkish, Vietnamese, Afghan and Somali). They meet monthly and offer culturally appropriate information, education, peer support and recreation sessions. More
