New Book for Young Children of Parents with a Mental Illness

You cant hide the elephant is a picture book written for young children who have a parent with a mental illness

You Cant Hide An Elephant

You Cant Hide An Elephant is a story book designed for children eight to twelve years of age , to be read in a supported environment. It highlights the voice of a child living with the challenges that can arise when a parent has a mental illness.

As well as a Safety Plan tool it encourages the development of better family communication about mental health, whilst drawing attention to the importance of providing support to children, listening to their feelings and helping to meet their needs.

It is a great resource for therapists, case workers, counsellors, welfare officers, social workers, mental health nurses, group facilitators and parents or grandparents.

The book can be purchased online from the website for $23. To order your copy, click here.
