Mental Health Complaints Commission First Annual Report

MHCSS first annual report table in Parliament Oct 7th. The Report and 2 Spotlight reports now available

The MHCC first annual report and 2 accmpanying Spotlight reports are now available to download.

The Commissioner kindly informed us as follows:

'It’s a comprehensive report that explains in detail our approach to complaints. To make this more accessible, we have produced two spotlight documents that summarise our work to resolve complaints and safeguard rights, also available on our website and attached here.

We know many consumers and carers have been looking forward to our report, and hope you can assist us by sending the links on to your members and networks. We would also welcome the opportunity for MHCC staff to meet with your members to discuss our work and the things we have learnt over our first 12 months. If you’d like us to do so, please contact Keir Saltmarsh at  or P:9032 3329 to arrange.

You will see that our annual report refers to our strategic directions document, also attached in this email. This was developed on the basis of the extensive consultation our establishment team conducted and ongoing feedback from consumers, families, carers and services. It’s an important guiding document for the MHCC and I urge you to review and send any feedback via return email.
