Housing Forum for Mental Health on Monday, 22 August 2016

Opportunity to discuss how the housing market could provide more solutions for people with disability.

University of Melbourne have a new research partnership with Yooralla and Frasers, a building developer. The research focus is to identify a range of modifications that would assist people with disability to live in a private house.

You are invited to take part in a workshop that seeks your views on some design options for people with mobility, hearing or sight issues, that could be supported by some environmental modifications.

The outcome will be to include these ideas in buildings as examples of how building developers can easily include these modifications in their stock housing.

Who: The project is aimed at people with disability and their family or advocates who could live independently with minor modifications to the physical environment that would enhance their daily living.

What: Workshop and catered lunch, support with travel expenses may be provided.
