Volunteers Needed for Schizophrenia Research

Improving the treatment of people with psychosis.

Melbourne Neuropsychiatry Centre (MNC) is undertaking leading clinical research in psychiatric illness. Their goal is to understand the biological basis of disorders that emerge in childhood and adolescence, including psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia.

The MNC Psychosis Study aims to improve the treatment of people with psychosis by investigating why some people respond better to anti-psychotic medication compared to others.

The study also seeks to understand the risk and protective factors associated with developing psychosis by looking for biological markers that are shared with relatives, particularly siblings.

For more information, to see if you are eligible to volunteer, and to contact the MNC please click here.
