Mental Health Peer Work Qualification Development Project

Pilot of materials: The Certificate IV has been developed alongside training resources that will support its teaching.

The Mental Health Peer Work Qualification Development Project aims to develop and support a nationally recognised qualification for peer workers (Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work) to help facilitate broader engagement of peer workers throughout the mental health sector.

The development of the qualification has involved a rigorous process with input from technical and advisory groups including peer workers and people with a lived experience.

The project is funded by the National Mental Health Commission and coordinated by the Mental Health Coordinating Council on behalf of Community Mental Health Australia.
