The new Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 became law in Victoria on September 1 2023. It brought with it a range of changes to the rights of families, carers, supporters and consumers in the Mental Health and Wellbeing System.

Tandem is doing a lot of work to provide you with clear and straightforward information about what your rights are.

We creating a range of information resources, including:

 

  • Fact sheets and web content about family, carer and supporter rights under the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act
  • A speaker series featuring presenters from some of the organisations that will be undergoing significant changes as the Act is implemented, and
  • A roadshow across Victoria in late 2023 to talk about the new Act.
