The Work Place Audit is a process of gathering information against key questions to understand what is happening currently in your organisation in relation to Family Inclusive Practice.

It is a process of observing, collecting and analysing to facilitate reflection, decision making, and change management.

As the Manager/Program Coordinator you are asked to lead the audit process and assist your organisation to nominate three preferred Priority Areas as opportunities for strengthening Family Inclusive Practice.

We suggest your priorities include at least one smaller project which might make an immediate and significant difference (eg. waiting room posters, toys and magazines, or a service information brochure) as well as specific practices you may wish to review (eg. the intake and assessment process, case records, job descriptions).

This Audit Document has been developed by Family Life, Victoria and has been adapted by NADA for the toolkit.

Outcomes of the audit should include:

  1. Review and assess current organisational philosophy, culture and service delivery models in relation to Family Inclusive Practice
  2. Identify organisational service delivery and skill changes necessary for achieving Family Inclusive Practice.
  3. Develop service delivery models, practice standards and strategies for Family Inclusive Practice.
  4. Implement Family Inclusive Practice.
